The Tim Sayers Library
Miss I Sayers, known to her friends as ‘Tim’, was an enthusiastic member of the society and served on the
committee for many years until her death in 1999. She left a considerable collection of local history
books to the Society, to which have been added a number of books purchased by the Society to aid
research for members acting as town guides.
The books are housed in the Bury St. Edmunds branch
of the Suffolk record Office in Raingate Street, and are available, on application, for use by current
members of the Past & Present Society.
