Where the place?
On Ipswich Docks; there to meet with
'Hydrogen'
This year’s summer venture is a cruise down the Orwell from Ipswich docks on the sailing barge ‘Hydrogen’ to the wonderful anchorage provided by the estuarial confluence of the Stour and Orwell, with the Deben entering slyly from the north. Felixstowe on one hand, Harwich on the other with the North Sea beyond, it is an area steeped in maritime history, both glorious and highly dubious. Our four hour cruise down the Orwell and back to Ipswich is a fitting finale to our season.
